Mother and son jailed for drug offences in Reading |

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a mother and son have been jailed for drug offences in Reading. Sarah Cooke, aged 55, of Kestrel Way, Reading, and her son, Jamie Cooke, aged 40, of Severn Way, Reading, were jailed for three years and eight months, and five years and seven months, respectively, at Reading Crown Court on Monday (5/1). On 10 July last year, Thames Valley Police officers discovered class A drugs and a phone which contained mass marketing drugs messages at an address in Kestrel Way. The defendants were arrested and charged the following day. At a previous hearing on 29 September last year, both defendants pleaded guilty to: Investigating officer, PC Liam Steel of the Proactive Team in Reading, said: “Our team proactively targets offenders. We know who you are and we will use both overt and covert tactics to disrupt your drug dealing and arrest you. “The public play an important role in providing information to us so we can take drugs off our streets in Reading. Therefore, if you have any information about drugs dealing in your area we would encourage you to report it to us by calling 101 or through the online reporting on our website.” | ||
